ZD Soft Screen Recorder 10.3

ZD Soft Screen Recorder is a Windows utility that comes in handy if you need to create video tutorials for your applications or record game walkthroughs. The program lets you choose between multiple video capturing modes, offers you quality output files, and helps you take snapshots.

This application sits on your System Tray from where you can access its main menu and Settings panel. You can define various global hotkeys for immediately completing your tasks (start/stop recording, take screenshots, etc.), select a default screen region for your video recordings, include your logo in your projects, etc.

In my testing, I recorded a small area from my desktop and took a snapshot of the entire screen. The utility offered me quality results and didn't slow down the performance of my system in the process.

Unfortunately, the application comes with several disadvantages. For starters, it supports a limited amount of output formats for both video recordings (AVI, MP4, and FLV) and screenshots (PNG, BMP, and JPG). Another thing that bothers me is that it doesn't provide you with editing options. Other screen recorders provide you with trimming options, cropping tools, visual effects, etc. This app has none of these features.

In conclusion, you should try a different utility if you're looking for a feature-rich and efficient video recording tool for your Windows PC.
