ZD Soft Screen Recorder is a software to record screen and takes screenshots of your computer. This software will interest users who are into making tutorials or sharing gameplay.
The interface is intuitive and easy to use. This program quietly sits in the system tray when not in use. You can use this program to capture the entire screen or a part of it. You can also setup hotkeys to complete your tasks immediately. The software supports multiple video capturing modes and you can specify output formats.

I recorded game plays, took screenshots and also created a tutorial. The images were of good quality. I did notice a little drop in frame rates when recording gameplay. Other than that the program was fast and efficient.

The program supports common video formats AVI, MP4, and FLV, and common image formats such as PNG, JPG, and BMP. The formats are limited and that may become a deal breaker for some users. To be honest, the current market is full of similar software and they offer features that support the main utility of the software, like the ability to add effects, crop, merge and split videos. Not having those features in the software is a major setback for me as I would have to consider another software for these tasks every time. It is my request to the developers to add those features in the future updates.

To sum up, ZD Soft Screen Recorder is a software to capture screen activities. It is a fine tool for making video tutorials or recording game play. However, limited formats and lack of supporting features may prove to be a deal breaker for some users.
